Like the immediate excitement of discovering a piece of amber hiding in the seaweed, the A.R.T.C. lies right on the brink where forest meets the Baltic sea, glowing up as an Amber Beacon, welcoming the hikers traveling along the Latvian shore.

The structural concept of the A.R.T.C. is inspired by the cellular structure of amber, which diverse composition, makes the Amber warp the light, demanding the spectators attention when watched from different angles.

In the same way the A.R.T.C.’s irregularity draws the visitor to enter the cave like interior, where the amber in its previous state make the wood able to bend in organic doubly curved forms, and the fireplace make the wooden surfaces bend the light, as inside a piece of amber.
